How to measure your ball cap size and never get a bad fit again
Have you ever been curious about how to accurately fit or size a baseball hat? Choosing the right size for your hat is an easy thing and not something you should be nervous about. Read our 4 easy steps below and you will have learned everything you need to know about hat measuring! Never again worry about dropping your hard earned cash on a fitted cap that does not fit right on your head.
Step 1: To determine your hat size, measure your head with a tape measure or string ruler a half-inch or so above your eyebrows (where your hat should lay). If you don't have a tape measure, use a string or cord and measure it against a ruler yard stick.
Step 2: If you are unsure which size to choose, or you measure in between sizes, we suggest buying the larger size. It is a good idea to choose the larger size because a hat is liable to shrink a bit during normal every day use and as a result from routine washing. Purchasing a smaller sized hat may result in a much to tight cap once this normal shrinking happens.
Step 3: When buying a fitted cap, it is necessary to know your head size. If you are buying an adjustable cap, you do not need to measure your head.
Step 4: Use our easy chart below to figure out your hat size.
Circumference (in): 20 1/2 - 21 5/8 - Size: Small - Hat Size: 6 1/2 - 6 7/8
Circumference (in): 22 - 22 3/8 - Size: Medium - Hat Size: 7 - 7 1/8
Circumference (in): 22 3/4 - 23 1/8 - Size: Large - Hat Size: 7 1/4 - 7 3/8
Circumference (in): 23 1/2 - 25 - Size: Extra Large - Hat Size: 7 1/2 - 8
